P3Million "Good Governance" award for Benguet

Because of a positive review of the Department of Interior and Local Government that the province have exemplary governance with respect to administrative, economic and environmental concerns which consequently gave the 2010 Gawad Pamana ng Lahi to Benguet, the national government has awarded the province P3M.


The DILG also evaluated each region on their overall performance index, local government performance management system, seal of good housekeeping for local government, innovation and awards or distinctions.


In behalf of the provincial government of Benguet, Gov. Nestor Fongwan received the award with the check amounting to P3M.
