Mayor Mauricio Domogan announced that the scholarship slots committed by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) director general Joel Villanueva are now available.
Domogan said that TESDA provincial director Angela Gabriel informed his office that TESDA is now ready to accept interested applicants who are willing to undergo the training for work scholarship program (TWSP).
There are 29 slots available for the 2D animation3 and 51 slots for animation NC2. The training will be conducted at the Cordillera School of Digital Arts located at Room B-212 Lopez Bldg., Session Road, Baguio City.

He added that there are 397 slots for call center agents and 175 slots for housekeeping NC2 to be conducted at the Global Technical Institute Philippines, Inc. located at Magsaysay Ave.
Domogan likewise stated that there are also 100 slots for slaughtering operations NC2 which will be conducted at the MMS Development Training Center located at the Porta Vaga mall.
300 slots are also needed for finishing course for Medical Transcription to be held at the Center for Technical Excellence Integrated School located at Kisad Road, Baguio City, he added.
To qualify for the TWSP, applicants must be a high school graduate, at least 18 years old, and must come from the family qualified under the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program. Educational attainment shall be based on industry requirement, and have not previously availed of the TESDA Training for Work Scholarship from 2006 – 2010.
Interested applicants are advised to go to the Mayor’ office, application will be on a first come, first served basis, Domogan added. - (PIA / by Mari Cruz)
