by Lito Dar

‘Come and visit the province and join us celebrate our 111th foundation day. We have scheduled a month-long calendar of activities for the people of Benguet and visitors alike in celebration of ‘Adivay 2011.’

This was the invitation extended by Benguet Governor Nestor Fongwan in a kapihan media forum last week at the Provincial Capitol which served as the launching activity for the month-long festivities of ‘Adivay 2011.’

This year’s events will focus on the tourism industry of the province, particularly on promoting what each of the 13 municipalities has to offer.

“Benguet is already known for our temperate vegetables, the mining industry both small-scale and the large mining companies as well as our hydro-electric power industry.
