| Unveiling of Burnham fence sometime back |
THE Office of the President (OP) recently allocated P25 million for the completion of the fence of Burnham Park, the premier park of Baguio City, Mayor Mauricio Domogan said Thursday.

Domogan said the fund was personally asked by Bishop Carlito Cenzon of the Baguio-Benguet Vicariate from President Benigno Aquino III when he was here to switch on the park’s lighting system.
“The park’s fencing completion will be among the major infrastructure projects here next year by the government. It will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways,” he said.
The initial fencing of the park was done along Kisad Road, particularly within the portion intended for children. Cenzon and other civic leaders initiated the project to protect children from the passing vehicles.
The second part of the fence was done along Harrison Road to protect the greens from those crossing the football grounds fronting Melvin Jones grandstand. This was funded with P1.5 million from the pork barrel of Domogan when he was still a congressman. (SunStar / by Aure Galacgac)
