Jeanette Maria Mabalot of the BIR said during the year-end adjustments forum for government withholding tax agents that the PSR is a texting promo open to Smart, Talk N Text, Globe, Touch Mobile, and Sun Cellular prepaid and postpaid subscribers nationwide.
Aside from the P1 million monthly grand prize, a participant has the chance to win instant mobile prepaid loads, MyPhone cell phones, P5,000 daily, and P25,000 weekly.
To join the promo, one should always ask for a receipt whenever they purchase goods or services. Identify the Tax Identification Number (TIN) of the establishment, Receipt Number and Amount in the receipt and then using their cellphone, type in the text message in this format: PSRTINReceipt NumberReceipt Amount and send it to 9777(for single entry) or 9778(for multiple entry).
For multiple entries, the participant is entitled to one entry for every P100 reflected in their O.R. and amount will be rounded out to the next hundred for fair play (For example P230 O.R amount – entitles a participant to three entries). Winners will get a congratulatory text from 9778 and a confirmation call from PhilWeb.
Mabalot informed that those receipts from Cash Register Machine (CRM) and Point of Sale (POS), are also allowed in the promo. However, these are thermal papers that easily fade so she advises that it is important to handle the receipt with utmost care.
All valid text-entries will be issued a unique raffle entry number through a text confirmation.
Mabalot explained that sometimes there is a delay in receiving the text confirmation due to network congestion. Thus, she advises to send entries during off-peak hours from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. (- (PIA / by Mari Cruz)
