Benguet rocked by 3.1 magnitude quake



As the region rest from the activities of All Saints Day and prepare for another working day, Benguet was shook by an earthquake in the wee hours on Tuesday. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that Benguet experienced a 3.1 magnitude earthquake.

According to the Phivolcs report, the epicenter of the quake was 23Km northeast of La Trinidad, Benguet and had a 73 Km depth and of tectonic in nature. The earthquake happened around 3:53 a.m. of Tuesday.



Phivolcs also said that no aftershocks are to be expected. There are also no reports of damage brought about by the quake on the area.
