Christmas comes early at Baguio Export Processing Zone

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) -- Baguio City Export Processing Zone (BCEZ) will have its annual Christmas Bazaar dubbed as “Pezalubong” on November 18 to December 30 at its multi-purpose court.

According to Moody Agyao, BCEZ operations manager, the fair is now on its 26th year providing Christmas shoppers with a wide variety of items for gifts or for their own needs.

Pezalubong is keeping up with PEZA’s thrust of providing employment and other business opportunities to merchandising individuals, he said.

It is different from other trade fairs in that, the main feature is the selling of export-quality products and, “we have invited various export manufacturers from the different economic zones from among the other public ecozones,” Agyao explained.

In coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry- Cordillera, manufacturers will also be selling the One Town One Product (OTOP) coming from the different municipalities in the region, he said.

An added attraction is a three-day car show on November 18 to 21 where the public can see a display of various vehicles at reasonable prices, he said.

‘Christmas season is the time of spending and I assure shoppers that they will get their money’s worth when they buy in our Pezalubong,’ Agyao assured. (PIA/by Joseph B Zambrano)

Actually they do hold it every year. Sorry I have not been able to post one on it this year. It normally starts late November or early December and ends early January.
But if you ever visits Baguio on other days, Baguio has a night market located at Harison road (along Burnham park) from 9:00 p.m. till 2 a.m. as weather permits.
