During the holiday season, the city is visited by so many visitors. Coinciding at present is the 62nd Fil- Am Golf Invitational, which is bringing golfers from the different parts of the globe. The BCPO is giving assistance for their safety.

“We are expecting more vacationers and bad elements are coming up to our city to take advantage of them, like the bukas kotse gang and the akyat bahay gang,” Lacdan said.

Mayor Maurico G. Domogan reminded the police for its primary role in ensuring the full implementation of government programs and operations in addressing criminality and maintaining peace and order.

He also assured the PNP that the administration is behind the police force to help carry out its mission to serve and protect the public.

“Crime prevention is every day, we should be on our toes and not only on Christmas season,” Domogan expressed.

Crimes could be prevented if more law enforcers are visible on the street and even encouraged precinct commanders to "go out and be in the field" to have a better assessment of the situation on the ground, he added. - (PIA / by Joseph B. Zambrano)
