CAR dance to be showcased at BSU

Benguet State University (BSU) will be host to a dance showcase named First Cordi Dance Powwow where at least five dances from Cordillera will be shown. The event will take place on Nov. 24-25.

Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology, Ifugao State University, Kalinga Apayao State College, Apayao State College and Benguet State University will be represented by
their own respective dance troupe. The objective of the event is "to produce a video tutorial for Physical Education teachers to use as instructional material. This will also be our contribution to cultural heritage conservation." says Dr. Ma. Luz D. Fang-asan, BSU-CCA Director.



The two-day activity will begin with a seminar, initial shooting and solidarity dinner sponsored by BSU and Benguet Gov. Nestor B. Fongwan on November 24. The main powwow on November 25 will be open to Physical Education teachers and to cultural dance enthusiasts.

Registration fee for this day is PhP800.00 to cover two snacks, lunch and a powwow kit.
