Medical Transcription and Slaughtering Training open to 25 limited interested applicants

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has allotted to the province 25 slots for slaughtering operation NC II and 10 slots medical transcriptionist NC II under its Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).

TESDA provincial director Gabriel Cayacay said of the 25 slots of slaughtering operation, 15 are through the initiative of Congressman Maximo Dalog and the other 10 are through the initiative of Governor Leonard Mayaen.

This course is designed to equip individuals with operational knowledge, skills and attitudes in slaughtering operations. It deals with all the processes involved in slaughtering cattle and or pig.

During the orientation, Cayacay discussed the objective of the program, the qualifications needed for the trainings they applied for, and some fatherly advice to the participants while on training.

Training and assessment fees are free as it will be paid by TESDA directly to institution where the trainees enrolled. Counterpart of the trainees will be their food, beddings, and transportation expenses.

For the medical transcriptionist, application is still open to those who are interested. This will be conducted at the Center for Technical Excellent, Inc, G/F West Burnham Place, Baguio City.
