OPAPP will be signing agreements with the implementing agencies and the local government units in the region who are recipients of the PAMANA. These are the Cordillera Peoples Liberation Army(CPLA) communities identified under the memorandum of agreement entered into between the government and the CPLA-Cordillera Bodong Administration earlier this year.

PAMANA is the national government’s peace and development framework for empowering conflict-affected areas in the country. Spearheaded by OPAPP and supported by concerned government offices and local government units, it ensures that communities are served and benefit from improved delivery of basic social services.

OPAPP in coordination with the Joint Committee will be downloading the funds for the implementation of development projects during the launching.

Expected to grace the occasion are Social Welfare Secretary Dinky Soliman, Budget Secretary Florencio Abad and Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo with Cordillera governors, congressmen, mayors, line agency directors and CBA-CPLA officials and members. - (PIA / by Redjie Cawis)
