Mayor Greg Abalos has decided to lift the number coding scheme for the holidays.

Abalos issued an Executive Order December 16, suspending the implementation of the number coding scheme from December 19 to January 2, 2012.
Abalos said there are a great number of residents who are in the thick of preparations for the Holiday season causing traffic along the streets of the town.
Abalos said the suspension of the number coding scheme aims to allow greater mobility for constituency and visitors.
The recent implementation of the number coding scheme in the Valley recently forced motorists plying main thoroughfares to comply with number coding and odd even traffic schemes to ease congestion along Halsema Highway.
Public utility vehicles had to take the odd even scheme while private vehicles adhere to the number coding scheme to ease traffic. - (SunStar / by Ma. Elena Catajan)
